
To promote and disseminate research in Thai Studies and to encourage scholars in the field, the Empowering Network for International Thai Studies (ENITS) Project, under the Institute of Thai Studies, Chulalongkorn University, is pleased to announce the availability of research grants. These grants are intended to support the production of high-quality academic articles on Thai Studies. Fifteen grants of 40,000 THB each will be awarded to selected recipients to assist with their research.
These grants aim to foster international scholarly exchange and advance interdisciplinary research in Thai studies. Applications are open to academics, independent researchers, and advanced graduate students with a demonstrated commitment to the field.
Recipients are required to submit an original, unpublished research paper in English (8,000–10,000 words) related to Thai Studies, focusing on one of the following sub-themes:
Tai-Thai Studies; both as area studies and a specific field of study
Buddhist Studies, Theravada Buddhism, and Thai Buddhism
Issues and trends in contemporary Thai studies
Relationship between Thai and ASEAN countries
Grantee are required to give an oral presentation at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand
The right to publish or disseminate the granted research papers is reserved by Chulalongkorn University.
Additionally, to facilitate participation by researchers traveling from overseas, supplementary travel grants will be allocated as follows:
30,000 THB per grantee for applicants traveling from the Americas, Europe, or Africa
10,000 THB per grantee for applicants traveling from Asia or Oceania
